How is Hanna AI different from ChatGPT and Claude?
ChatGPT, Claude, and other AI assistants can help you write an email, summarise information, or quickly find an answer to your question. But is that enough when you need AI to work with your actual customers, sales data, or projects?
In this article, we will look at how Hanna AI differs from a general-purpose AI assistant, how we work with your data, why business information security matters, and how Hanna can be used together with other AI tools.
Hanna AI can use the business context already available in Hanna CRM
Imagine you want to analyse a specific lead. Any other AI assistant would first need you to provide the information required for that analysis. With Hanna, that information is already available in the CRM.
Hanna AI can analyse customer and sales information, summarise calls or emails, review reports, identify trends, assess leads, and recommend next steps. All of this can be done without leaving the CRM system.
AI assistants and data security
When working with customer, sales, or internal company information, it is also important to consider where your data goes. When using a publicly available AI assistant, employees may be tempted to copy customer information, sales data, or other internal material into the conversation simply to get an answer. This introduces additional risks related to data control and confidentiality.
Hanna is designed to keep key business information within one system. Customer data is encrypted both in transit and at rest, access is managed according to user roles, two-factor authentication can be enabled, user actions are recorded in activity logs, and data is stored in data centres located within the European Union.
What does this mean for you? Hanna AI is designed so that business data is handled in line with Hanna’s security and access control principles.
Already using other AI tools in your business?
Choosing Hanna does not mean you have to stop using other AI solutions. By default, ChatGPT, Claude, or another external AI assistant does not have direct access to Hanna data. However, access can be provided through the Hanna MCP (Model Context Protocol) server.
In this case, AI tools that support MCP can access Hanna data and, depending on the permissions granted, perform supported actions in Hanna, such as creating records. This is particularly useful for companies that already use different AI assistants or want to expand their AI capabilities in the future.
Hanna remains the primary source of business data, while MCP makes it possible to securely connect that data with other tools.
In short – how do Hanna AI, ChatGPT, and Claude differ?
The key difference is the information the AI works with.
- Hanna AI – AI capabilities integrated into specific Hanna CRM processes;
- Hanna MCP – an MCP server that allows external AI assistants to work with Hanna data and perform supported actions in Hanna;
- ChatGPT / Claude – general-purpose AI assistants that can be connected to Hanna CRM through the MCP server.
Hanna AI helps turn the data you already have into answers, insights, and actions, while Hanna MCP allows you to use the same business context in other AI tools of your choice.
